Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this notation of being Nate-Certified surely sounds reassuring, what does it truly mean?
nate certified technicians

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was created by and has been supported by the entire HVACR industry for close to 20 years. Although, not all technicians in the field are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is non-mandatory and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without the accreditation.

It’s a priority for Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-Certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these rules.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may gain certification in any of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly competent and professional and will do the job right the first time. Our company has the ability and skill set to not only service your HVAC systems, but to take the utmost care of your equipment.
